Tahiru Nasuru

Tahiru Nasuru is the founder of UMRATECH (Ummat Muhammad Rasool Allah Technologies). The project started with one aim: to build free, privacy-focused Islamic apps that respect the faith of the people who use them, without intrusive advertising.

The idea came from concern about widely used Islamic apps that collect personal data or show inappropriate ads to people who do not pay. Everyday Muslim, the first UMRATECH app, was built without corporate funding, and the same approach now shapes every app in the collection.

On the UMRATECH blog, Tahiru writes about Islam, Muslim life, family, technology and privacy, and humanitarian causes such as Gaza and Sudan.
